The search for D3

Category:

Genres:

Hand in hand,

misery walked with me.

I searched and searched,

but could not find D3.

Four hours I looked,

five bus tokens I spent.

Everywhere was sold out,

so across the city I went.

"You should have reserved a copy."

Store clerks all pointed out.

"Fuck you kid!" and more,

Perfection

How I wish this fractured mirror reflection would lie to me

Twisting, contorting, to be the pretty picture you want me to be

If only I could turn back time and wipe my soiled slate clean

Burying, hiding, so I can masquerade as pure and pristine

THE PAINTING

Category:

Genres:

I stole the colours from the artist’s den

To paint a picture, of our friendship my friend

Honesty and humour, companionship and strength

are amongst a few of what I wanted to paint.

I painted through the summers’ breeze

Frosty winters, autumn and spring

A picture so dear, I’ll paint through my years

AN:Hey guys, it's been a while. Well, I'm back with some poetry, and while I feel this piece isn't particularly strong I felt like sharing it. I will say that critiques are welcome as always, but I  would like to ask that you be gentle in this particular case, because this poem is awfully personal for me.

They've won.

Everyday with this sadness.

On the edge of certain madness.

Malevolent whispers in the dark.

Twisted thoughts have left their mark.

Other people, whom I can't relate.

Have left me in a contorted state.

The days end as the Sun begins to fall.

Personal demons grow upon the wall.

My Dilema

Love is the most beautiful lie that compels us to accomplish unimaginable acts. The very lie that makes us swear and promise eternal commitment is in itself a limited anomaly. This fairy tale goes hand in hand with the most amazingly stunning creature ever known to man.

Samael

Genres:

He was not what I had expected, that silent boy,

Who smiled gently at me and proceeded

To pull upon a thread. It was not painful,

Only curious. I was being unraveled, it

Was as if I had been made of this miniature

Thread all along but I had just not looked

Close enough. I tried to ask a question but

Lady Maria

I didn't want you to end,

But you did. Like a flare

At sea, you faded. Once aglow

With fiery heart, then

Plunged into dark waves and a

Sea so black all trace of

Your red soul was drowned.

I am left cold holding the

Lifeless steel of your bedside.

I am lost in an ocean, yet

Un-entitled.

The gnarled hands of the tramp reaches out like the branches of a dying tree,

passers-by walk with each purposeful footstep trying to look casual

wanting not to get snagged in their earnest pleas for money.

Such deceit.

But soon he will be moved on and bother no-one, no more.

Thinking of the future

With the things that we know now,

and the knowledge we've lost.

you say things are better,

but what was the cost?

If knowledge is power,

then why are we weak?

Who's really in charge here?

Is the answer I seek.

We've become so corrupt,

conditioned with lies.

Harvey

Harvey’s the name and capturing souls is my game

I know, my moniker should be something more nasty and vile

Maybe Azazel or Labal. But I’m not looking for fame

That’s my whole gig, to sneak up on ya’ with a hook and a smile

Nothing gets me goin’ more (if you know what I mean)

Than the poor schmucks who think I don’t exist

It started out with small, insignificant things here and there

Then my favorite records started disappearing, one by one

I asked him if he’d seen them, his wily answer “nope, I swear”

Then items around the house; that made things seem undone

Rhythmic Desire

Shivers run up my spine as I feel the cold air.
The moonlight gleams, cascading my curves.
Dressed in nakedness, I lay before you.
My chest synchronized with rapid breaths
...of wanting you.

Passion and desire is all I have to offer.

The Dash Waxes Poetic

During a Dash activity the other evening, the chosen word was "blushon."  It is a French adaptation of two English words, meaning "to apply makeup."  Well, here is what I ended up writing.

Made his exit from the stage.

The scene he was in,

Well, it went poorly,

some faded, others bright.

Briefly I join them,

bringing end to the night.

Of the Sun I'm prologue,

I come before the day.

I guide the mighty Sun,

and I show him the way.

Of the peoples of Earth,

for who I do labour.

About the suffering and the pain.

They would all imagine,

The things they were to gain.

I'm experimenting with writing drama... or something like that, so, not really sure where this will go, just popped into my head. I am curious about your opinion.
