Okay, I had the August contest all planned. I was going to require the entrants to take the character that they created in the July contest and put it into a scene for August. Then Fade im'd me and said, "What if someone wants to enter the August contest who didn't enter the July contest?" Excellent point.
So, here we go. Oh, and by the way, the August contest is extended into September. So I put the sample jpegs back out on Facebook. If you can't find them, I can email them to you. Just let me know.
On Facebook, there are three pics I downloaded from the web. Look for Robert Spotts in Southeastern Pa. Or you may click here: Link They are settings. You may use one of them, or one of your own. You have between 500-3000 words. Bring the scene to life.
Oh, just two small things. You have to tell the story in first person. And, if there are characters in your scene, there can be dialog. But you CANNOT participate. You must remain the omnipotent first person observer and narrator at all times.
It's too late for this month, but, usually, you would make a link to the picture you want to use. (something I forgot to do )
Then you set the story entry beneath that; see Shinaliz's entry, to see how it should be done.
