Smoldering cigarette dangled loosely on her pair of chubby lips as she went silently down the dimly lit corridor. As closed doors went passing by, slivers of smoke snaked out of her stained teeth and faded floorboards creaked under her heavy strides. She eventually stopped before a wooden door when another white curl of smoke escaped into rustic air, leaving behind indiscernible trails on the yellowing wall. She lifted her burly hand and the door slide open ominously under her gentle push.

Hugging her favorite plush rabbit, baby Jasmine was sound asleep in her mottled, wooden crib. She laughed and drool went trickling down her chubby cheeks, it must have been one sweet dream. Beyond the infolded sanctum of security, sorrow and dread reigned.
