I gave a one eye, crippled man
$1.30 today for Bus Fair.
He only needed 5 Ones for his Five Dollar bill,
No one spoke, so I said
"We got 130, if you can find 20 cents, you on the bus"
He was stoked...

The dark days aren’t over,
Come on “The Machine”.
Even the leather face man
On the street
Still asks for change.

Then he gets into his Prius,
make us of US,
Look like suckers
And just a bit strange.

Though I’ve loved large and small,
I never had to persevere at all.
Why do I always go for the one,
Whom stares me in the eyes,
And shows me all of my lies.

I had a beautiful and amazing wife
and I lost her.
She had an illness and I left like a coward.
Never did I accept she was an addict.
So was I.

Now, lets not point fingers at
what the "other" does,
but let's embrace change.
which always comes from up Above.
