The Daily Mail - is sadly one of the best newspapers we have. To me, they are all full of hear say and propaganda and I don't read any of them. But whether that means this article has any substance or not, who knows. Sometimes they strike gold, but a lot of the time the editors fray on the edge of fiction with most of their 'reports'.

It's nonsense. Obama hasn't asked for the authority to do any such thing. He can shut the internet down if national security is compromised. After all, the net was invented by the military for it's use and the rest of us are allowed to use it- now. It was around for twenty years before the general public was allowed free usage.

The internet is contolled by the Dept. of Commerce through ICAAN which contacts it out to Network Solutions.
