Have you ever found your curiosity extending to the point where, whenever you hear about or read about something strange, you use Google (21st century's best friend) to search deeper into it?
The three snipers lie in wait ready to strike. Nothing could go wrong. Swiftly Austins, a 20 year old veteran sniper had waited so long for this. A chance to test his skills, and a chance to justify himself.
In the beginning of this world-wide best selling sequel, Percy has a dream of his friend Grover being held captive by a monster. Time is running out, so Percy has to decide quickly if the dream is real or if it is just a ploy by those who are trying to overthrow the Gods of Mt. Olympus.
I promise you that Greek Mythology, although entertaining to some, has never been this fun to the general masses. Just by looking at the table of contents you know you are in for a wild ride. With chapters like "I accidentally Vaporize My Pre-algebra Teacher" and "Three Old Ladies Knit the Socks of Death", how can this book be anything but great?
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" was published in 2005, a year after the author, Stieg Larsson, died from a heart attack. If you thought that the Swedish were all nice folks, this book is a wake up call.
A muse, not amuse, although I think it's ironic that a word that means to cause to laugh is similar to the words that can mean a source of inspiration.
Christine is, essentially, a book about a haunted car. Sure, it's a bit unorthodox, but it's actually a very good read. King starts the story in way that you can't put it down; there's no hundred pages waiting for plot to start, it just jumps right at it.
Welcome to the first installment of Rerun! I, Pritrostell, will be hosting this series every Wednesday. Rerun will be an ongoing article featuring writings and works posted long ago, and will serve as a portal to new writers/writings.
I have just read a blog posting by blue_veined-hatred, and it has really triggered a train of thought. Amazing where inspiration comes from, isn't it? Anyhow, I thought I would respond to his blog posting with a little essay.
This article is about Free Writing. It is simple to do, and is sometimes very effective in helping to clear writer's block. I discovered it about three months ago as part of a course in technical writing in which I am currently enrolled.
look, I feel that I have to say whats going on here. I know I\'m supposed to go all googley eyed over this book because it\'s written by a famous author, but in the intrests of truth, justice, and equality, I have to give my opinion. emphasis on opinion.this may well be the worst novel I have ever read.
A couple of weeks ago, one of our writers popped in a blog entry concerning "writer's block." The writer seemed concerned that his creativity had disappeared and was unsure as to how to get it back. I have a few suggestions that may help him out.
I am a dedicated Harry Potter fan. No, I don't dress up as the characters. I don't buy faux wands or inanimate broomsticks. However, I do often find myself scrawling essays on the complexities of the novel, trying desperately to be the first to discover Severus Snape\'s true loyalties, who is the true "Chosen One", and who will die.

DesertRat: Lance Morrow wrote an article for Time in 1995 on which he talks about sexual abstinence for teenagers. Somewhere in there he mentions 'the swamp of the id.' That word ("id") stuck with me for a while, it is a Freudian term. I would like to see someone use it somewhere. Another couple words I'd love to read in fresh work are 'ennui' (Constance Woolson in "Miss Grief") and 'debutante' (seen in a movie). DR1 day 2 hours ago

Routh: Ok, I have tracked down a bug with the Drupal and the password reset system. If you're logged in to the site when you request a password reset, it will ask for your current password when resetting. In order to fix this, use the link to get your temporary login, then logout with 'My Menu' > 'Log out' - Once you do that request a password reset again and it will not ask for your current password. The Drupal developers have been made aware of this issue and are working to resolve it.3 days 5 hours ago
